STRAW
Cowboy hats made from straw, are a light coloured hat that can reflect the sun’s light, deflecting its heat for working on hot summer days. Calgary Stampede founder Guy Weadick created an event, based on working cowboys that tested the skills and horsemanship required to perform their daily jobs, and made it famous by Buffalo Bill’s Wild West touring show, Gene Autry and American media.
